Martial Science Academy

In the “Martial Science Academy” (MSA) we learn and train realistic bunkai and effective defense techniques by using the acupuncture points (sometimes also called vital points). The effects of the techniques on the human body and its nervous system are explained according to modern medical science such as neurology, neuroanatomy and neurocardiology.

The MSA program consists of both Kyusho Jutsu and Dim Mak, and learning restoring and knowledge of the acupuncture points. Restoration is important for pain, indispensable for both knockout (KO) and worse: when the heart and lungs are disabled. The acupuncture points, with their location and stroke direction, are learned via the “Eastern” meridian theory (yin and yang, the five elements, destructive circle, etc.). Afterwards, the “Western” approach through modern medical science is discussed in depth: the nerves on which these vital points are located, information about the nervous systems, the nucleus tractus solitarius, etc., the effect of striking these points on the central and peripheral nervous system, the effect on the internal organs, why a KO occurs or e.g. the heart stops beating.

Kyusho Jutsu

Kyusho Jutsu means “attack to vital points”. It is the system that is incorporated into the techniques and combinations in the katas of various martial arts (e.g. karate, taekwondo, hapkido, aikido, muay thai, and also its more modern variations, such as krav maga) using the vital points, biomechanical reflex and body shift with the aim of inflicting physical damage, knockouts, or worse, death.

Dim Mak

Dim Mak means “deadly touch”. It concerns the original, very ancient Chinese martial art based on attacks with fa-jing (explosive force) on vital points to stop the heart. It is part – the use of vital points – of the internal martial art Wutang chuan, from which Tai Chi Chuan, H’sing-I and Bagwazhang (Bagua or Pakua) later emerged.

Courses

From Eastern to Western theory, from the complete list of vital points to extensive descriptions of the functioning of these points, from extra-meridians to extra-meridian points, from energy-disrupting techniques to neuroanatomy, from Dim Mak through the eyes from medical science and neurology to Kata bunkai and organ-related qigong… all of this is included in the courses. The knowledge of the acupuncture points and the use of these vital points in Kyusho Jutsu and Dim Mak are an added value for every dan degree holder and in every martial art.
